The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
